Some states restrict certain plants from being shipped. We take concerns regarding the spread of invasive plants and/or insects very seriously, so we comply with all state regulations.
The current state-level restrictions we follow are:
- Idaho - The state of Idaho has placed regulations on plants because of concern over the spread of Japanese Beetles. Unfortunately, this means we are not able to ship plants to Idaho, but we are able to ship most bulbs (except for Alliums).
- Montana - The state of Montana has placed shipping regulations on plants because of concern over the spread of Japanese Beetles. These regulations will allow us to ship plant material into Montana to arrive before June 1st and/or only in October.
- Oregon - Oregon currently has a ban in place on ornamental grasses (including Carex).
The current list of plant-specific restrictions are:
- Allium - Plants and bulbs are banned in Idaho and certain Washington State counties (Adams, Benton, Franklin, Grant and Klickitat)
- Buddleia (davidii / variabilis) - Banned in Oregon and Washington.
- Euonymus - Banned in Indiana, Maryland, and Knox County, Illinois.
- Iris (pseudacorus / pseudata) - Banned in Maryland and Maine.
- Lamiastrum - Banned in Oregon and Washington State.
